 Because we are highly aware of the demands placed on our reinforcing steel, we have a strong commitment to manufacturing excellence and product quality and we are well known for those qualities. Our Seismic reinforcing range undergoes rigorous testing to ensure complete compliance with the AS/NZS Standard. Test Certificates providing details on mechanical and chemical composition are available on request for every batch of steel that leaves our premises. The metallurgical team can also provide chemical and mechanical testing and metallographic services on a macro and micro scale and non-destructive testing of most steel types.

Then, for ease of identification on site, all deformed reinforcing bars that leave our doors for the local market are clearly marked with our Seismic brand and method of manufacture.

As part of our commitment to quality and safety in New Zealand, Pacific Steel assists with the development of relevant New Zealand standards, in particular the development of Concrete Reinforcement Standards necessary to meet New Zealand’s strict earthquake and building codes.
