Entries are now open for the Turner Award for Professional Commitment sponsored by Pacific Steel's Seismic MATM and the Institute of Professional Engineers of New Zealand (IPENZ). The winner will be presented with the award at the Fellows' and Achievers' Dinner held on March 12, 2012.

Background: The Turner Award for Professional Commitment is named in honour of Charles Turner, an engineer who became a key figure in the seismic design principles after Napier's 7.8 magnitude earthquake. Turner was heavily involved within the engineering fraternity in New Zealand and throughout the world.
